Tongonan Geothermal Power Plant generates and supplies electricity in Leyte, the Philippines. It also exports power to Cebu through Leyte-Cebu interconnection project. The company is based in Kananga, the Philippines. Tongonan Geothermal Power Plant operates as a subsidiary of National Power Corporation.
The Tongonan plant forms part of EDCbs Unified Leyte geothermal power complex. The complexb which straddles Ormoc City and municipality of Kanangab consists of 125-MW Upper Mahiao plant, 232.5-MW Malitbog plant, 180-MW Mahanagdong plant, and 51-MW Leyte optimization plants. (TGE)
